Promoting Contact Out of Household

This is something you can do easily

1. Make sure to be in Lightning Experience (Top right of your screen)
2. Go to the contact you want to remove from the account and click the Promote to Household Contact Button
3. 
4. After clicking unch
5. eck create a relationship and uncheck Record _________ as Employer
6. 
7. Then click Promote Contact at the top of the screen
8. If you need to change the address of either record go to the related address and either add a new related address and click the make primary button or if you don’t know the new address, go to the current related address and change to Bad Address or Old Address and then click the primary button
9. Then go to the relationship section and click on Table-then the name of the relationship
10. That will bring you to a new window
11. Change the relationship to Former Spouse
12. Go to each contact and change marital status
13. When it is a “married “ couple you are separating, make sure that both contacts no longer have a dual salutation by updating the salutations. You may have to fix the account name as well where the “spouses” had different last names like Mr. Brian Bengtson & Ms. Raquel Riemer. You only have to change the name on the original account since the new account name will reflect that of the new contact.
