Set the Personalization (Screen timeout settings):
£ Power saver options.
Change battery options to 45 mins
Change plugged in options to never
Change lid setting to do nothing when lid is closed
Disable “Turn on fast startup” under Power Options

Confirm Domain admins, Domain users & VNC Admins has been added to local Administrator group
£ Create Windows Firewall Defender exception
Add Inbound rule for port 5900 via Advanced Settings
£ Direct Access- For Mobile Devices
Move to direct access container in AD. Confirm that Direct Access appears under Network status on Surface
£ Windows Update
Ensure that ALL Windows updates have installed and up to date
£ Login User using JNF credentials
£ Create icon shortcuts for Office programs (I.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, etc)
£ Add Pinter(s), User network folder, all relevant public folders
£ Confirm correct time zone based on User’s primary location
£ Set default apps by file type (Ex: PDF>Adobe, Email>Outlook, Default browser> Google Chrome)
£ Ensure sync center is disabled
